A barn good time!

Putnam County 4-H Fair returns

Posted

The Putnam County Fair and 4-H Showcase returns to Veterans Memorial Park (Gipsy Trail Road, Carmel) this weekend. Open Saturday, July 27 (10 a.m.–7 p.m.) and Sunday, July 28 (10 a.m.–5 p.m.), the annual event has been a family favorite for generations, with food, vendors, games, exhibits, demonstrations, inflatables, pony rides, farm animals, magic shows, live music, a classic car show and more.

For the fourth year, there will be a Duck Derby Fundraiser to benefit Cornell Cooperative Extension’s educational programs. All proceeds support CCE-Putnam's Capital Campaign for The Cornell Barn at Tilly Foster Farm.

Since 1944, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Putnam County (CCEPC) has provided residents with research-based knowledge through its partnership with Cornell University. Part of the nationwide land grant system, CCEPC operates as an independent, nonprofit educational organization supported by county, state and federal governments. Its programs address local needs in environmental stewardship, youth and family development, and community education, with a focus on lifelong learning as a driver of positive change. The 4-H Fair is just one of its many programs, which include hikes, educational activities for kids and teens, and much more.

The fairgrounds offers free parking and admission. Learn more at cceputnamcounty.org.
