'Operation Hope's Stocking' Honors Mantovi's Legacy by Helping Kids

MAHOPAC, N.Y.—Two years after her tragic death while waiting for a train, Hope Mantovi continues to make a difference in people's lives.

According to Live on NY, Mantovi helped save up to 50 lives through her organ and tissue donations. Now, in her honor, Operation Hope's Stocking is collecting gifts for children at St. Barnabas Pediatric Center. Mantovi graduated from Mahopac HS in 2017 and was a student at NYC's Parsons School of Design when she was fatally injured in an accident.  She was 23.

As part of ‘Operation Hope’s Stocking' donations of new toys, socks, hats, gloves, playing cards, coloring books, crayons, card games, and small toys are requested. All gifts should be wrapped clearly with a festive ribbon and labeled "Love, Hope."
