Mount Kisco remembers the victims and heroes of September 11

Mount Kisco leaders, first responders and hundreds of community members gathered at Mount Kisco’s 9/11 memorial for a solemn and poignant tribute to the victims and heroes of the Sept. 11 attacks on the 25th anniversary of the tragedy.

The observance began with a 6 p.m. procession from Green Street to the memorial adjacent to the Mount Kisco Public Library, followed by a commemorative program.

White carnations and American flags were handed out to those who gathered to remember the lives lost, mourn with their neighbors and honor the courage and sacrifice shown in the aftermath of the attacks.
