Head-on crash injures several, shuts Route 35

KATONAH, N.Y. -- A head-on collision between two cars in Katonah on Friday, July 11, resulted in several injuries and caused the closure of Route 35 (Amawalk Road) for several hours, state police reported.

The incident occurred in the area of 2658 Amawalk Road.

The driver of the first car was taken to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla for treatment of what appeared to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The driver of the second vehicle and a passenger were also taken to the hospital. Their injuries also appeared to be non-life-threatening.

The road was reopened to traffic at 9:34 a.m.
