Goldfish Swim Schools of Westchester’s Swim Force swimmers came together to make a difference for children at Blythedale Children’s Hospital through the team’s first-ever Swim Force Swimathon, swimming 4,931 laps to raise $700 in support of Blythedale. More than 100 swimmers from Goldfish participated in the Swimathon, turning their love of swimming into an opportunity to give back to children in need.

Following the Swimathon, representatives from Goldfish Swim Schools in Yorktown Heights, New Rochelle and Yonkers visited Blythedale Children’s Hospital to deliver the fundraising check and host a water safety presentation for Blythedale students. The check was presented to Liz DeCecco, Blythedale’s senior development associate. The presentation focused on the importance of water safety and empowering children with knowledge and skills to help them stay safe around water. The visit also included a special appearance by Bubbles, the Goldfish mascot, who waved, gave high-fives and helped bring smiles to young participants, making the experience both engaging and memorable.

“Teaching children to swim is only part of what we want to do in our community,” said Gillian Graves, Owner of Goldfish Swim Schools of Westchester County. “We want our swimmers to understand the importance of helping others and giving back, and this Swimathon brought that mission to life. Seeing more than 100 swimmers come together to support children at Blythedale is incredibly meaningful. We are so proud of our Swim Force families and grateful that we could turn something our swimmers love into an opportunity to help other children.”

Goldfish Swim Schools of Westchester also emphasized its commitment to water safety advocacy and community support, with the goal of continuing to build an ongoing relationship with Blythedale Children’s Hospital.

“We are incredibly grateful to Goldfish, not only for their generous donation, but also for providing our students with such a fun, engaging, and educational learning experience,” said Stephen Beovich, superintendent of Mount Pleasant Blythedale Union Free School District.

Goldfish Swim Schools of Westchester extends its heartfelt thanks to the Swim Force swimmers and families who made this effort possible. Together, they turned their love of swimming into meaningful support for Blythedale Children’s Hospital and the children and families it serves.
