I am writing to express my support for 40th District State Senate candidate Gina Arena, the opponent of our current state senator, in the upcoming election.
As a concerned Republican resident of New York, I have watched with growing alarm the impact of the so-called bail reform legislation co-sponsored by our current state senator.
This legislation has proven to be a disaster for the New York community, undermining public safety and emboldening criminals. The bail reform law, intended to address issues of fairness in the justice system, has instead led to a surge in crime. It has allowed repeat offenders to walk free without any significant consequences, resulting in an increase in violent incidents and a palpable sense of insecurity among our citizens.
The spike in crime has not only strained our law enforcement in New York, but has also eroded the quality of life in our neighborhoods. Gina Arena, on the other hand, understands the importance of maintaining law and order. Her platform is clear: she is tough on crime and committed to reversing the dangerous policies that have put our families at risk.
Gina recognizes that true justice involves protecting the innocent and ensuring that those who commit crimes are held accountable. Her approach is focused on the safety of our communities.
The current state senator’s support for the flawed bail reform is a glaring indication of misplaced priorities. It is time for a change in leadership—one that prioritizes the safety and well-being of Westchester and Putnam County residents.
Candidate Arena’s commitment to being tough on crime is exactly what we need to restore order and protect our way of life.
