Incumbent Trustee Tom Luzio and fellow Democrat and Planning Board Chairman Michael McGuirk have won seats on the Mount Kisco Village Board in a four-way race for two seats.

While some Election Day ballots had yet to be counted, the two Democrats held substantial leads based on unofficial results posted by the Westchester County Board of Elections, which included early voting.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the Board of Elections website showed Luzio with 1,548 votes (35.79 percent), followed by McGuirk with 1,529 (35.35 percent).

Sean Moran, running on the Kisco United line, received 625 votes (14.45 percent), while running mate Jennifer Rego-Vallejos received 617 (14.27 percent). Six write-in votes accounted for the remaining 0.14 percent.

Neither Democrat was ready to declare victory before the paper ballots were counted, but it would take a major reversal to upend their respective leads.

The results were reported before paper ballots awaiting hand counting in the wake of countywide voting machine problems were tallied.

Infrastructure, public safety, fiscal responsibility and communication with residents were among the issues raised during the campaign.
