Final Public Input Sought on Bedford's Comprehensive Plan

Posted

BEDFORD, N.Y. - Asking once more for the public’s advice on shaping Bedford’s future, the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee has scheduled three more listening sessions before submitting a draft of its preliminary plan to the Town Board.

Scheduled to run from 6 to 8 p.m., public-input sessions will be held Oct. 23 at the Katonah Village Library, Oct. 29 at Bedford Village Historical Hall and Nov. 13 at the Bedford Hills Community House.

Based on community comment, revisions will be made to the draft plan before it’s sent to the Town Board. The board will hold additional public hearings before adopting a new Comprehensive Plan.

Once adopted, the plan will guide Bedford’s land use, preservation, infrastructure, transportation, parks and recreation and other policy decisions for the next 10 to 20 years.

The draft Comprehensive Plan was scheduled to be available online on Oct. 4 at bedfordny.gov/191/comprehesive-plan.
