Barbara Antonecchia (Cannon), 87, of Somers, NY, formerly of Yonkers, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2026, at her home. Barbara was born on April 8, 1939, in the Bronx to the late Robert and Adelina Cannon.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Guido, whom she married on September 18, 1960, in the Bronx, NY, and her cherished daughters, Lisa and Christine (Gary Amanna), losses she carried with grace and unwavering faith.

Barbara is survived by her son, Vincent, of Katonah, NY, and his wife Michelle, who brought her immense pride and comfort. Her three grandchildren, Vincent, Diana, and Natalia were the lights of her life, each one holding a special place in her heart.

Born with a generous spirit and a deep love for family and friends, Barbara dedicated her life to caring for others both personally and professionally. Those who knew her will remember her kindness, humility, and the steadfast love she offered to everyone around her. She is leaving behind a legacy of devotion, resilience, and quiet strength. Her memory will continue to live on in the stories shared, the traditions upheld, and the family she nurtured with such devotion.

Barbara was active in the community of Heritage Hills, where she participated in many clubs. She had a love of reading, was a skilled gardener and enjoyed traveling with friends and family.   

For many years, Barbara worked at Rockland Children’s Psychiatric Program in Yonkers, where her compassion and steadiness touched countless lives.

Family and Friends may call at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Road, Katonah NY, on Monday, October 5, 2026 from 3 to 7 p.m.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at St. Joseph's Church, 95 Plum Brook Road, Somers NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W Stevens Avenue, Hawthorne NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation or the Macular Degeneration Association.
