Therese Marie Donahue of North Salem, N.Y. formerly of Albany, N.Y. died on August 15, 2026 at Calvary Hospital. She was born on April 21, 1935 to John Arthur Murray and Margaret (Henchey) Murray. She was predeceased by her husband, Dick, her sister, Gertrude, and her brother Daniel.
Therese held managerial positions at New York Telephone Company in Albany, NY and in New York City. She received a Professional Diploma in Administration-Supervision from Southern Connecticut State University; MS in Library Science from Long Island University Palmer Graduate Library School and a BS Magna Cum Laude from Western Connecticut State University. She served as Director of the North Salem Free Library, 1976-1981; School Library Media Specialist, John Jay Middle School, Katonah-Lewisboro School District 1981-1997; Instructional Leader for Library Sciences and Staff Development Instructor for the Katonah - Lewisboro School District. Therese loved reading, gardening and was a leading light in her family.
Therese is the loving mother of Elizabeth of New York City and Michael of New Rochelle, NY. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours at Clark Associates Funeral Home, 4 Woods Bridge Rd Katonah, N.Y. 10536 will be Thursday, August 20, at 3 to 7 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 95 Plum Brook Rd, Somers, NY 10589, Friday August 21st at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Road, Menands, NY.
