Honeybee Grove’s Daffodil Day ushers in spring’s first colors

Right in the heart of Somers lies Honeybee Grove Flower Farm, a hidden floral paradise cultivated by resident Sarah Coldwell. What began as a quiet patch of growing ground has blossomed into a vibrant immersive flower experience where visitors don’t just buy blooms, they step into the garden and cut their own. This spring, all eyes are on one of the farm’s most joyful tradition, Daffodil Day, happening Sunday, April 26th. It’s the official kickoff to the season, transforming the farm into a vibrant wonderland of daffodils and tulips in full bloom. With artisan vendors, food, live music, and spring flowers, it’s a celebration that feels both festive and deeply grounding. Heirloom daffodils and specialty tulips are some of the earliest spring flowers at the farm. A sea of over 17,000 tulips will be in bloom, including double-blooming, parrot, and large varieties, alongside heirloom daffodils featuring pink-centered, orange-centered, double-ruffled blooms, small multi-bloom bunches, and classic trumpet forms—enough to keep you mesmerized.

It’s these small beauties, along with the farm’s immersive experience, that make Honeybee Grove so special. Whether you’re wandering through rows of blooms during Daffodil Day or returning later in the season for the summer annuals, the farm offers a rare chance to slow down and reconnect with nature’s rhythms. Honeybee Grove offers Private Garden Picking Packages, allowing access to specialty blooms like dahlias, lisianthus, eucalyptus, perennials, and more—turning a simple visit into a personalized floral adventure.
