Barnes & Noble Set for November Opening in Mount Kisco

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. - Barnes & Noble has set a grand opening for its new Mount Kisco bookstore on Saturday, Nov. 16.

According to the company, the official ribbon cutting will take place at 8:30 a.m. and the doors will be open to the public at 9 a.m.

Scheduled to meet fans and sign books on opening day are: Kat Ashmore, of the New York Times bestselling cookbook, "Big Bites." (9 a.m.);  Pam Gittleman, who will read her  award-winning children's book, "Nursery Rhymes for Kinder Times, Vol. 1." (11 a.m.); Elinor Lipman, author of the novel "Ms. Demeanor" and many other works of fiction and nonfiction (11 a.m. to 1 p.m.); Gerri Lewis, who is debuting her "cozy mystery" novel "The Last Word" (1 p.m. to 3 p.m.); Gabi Coatsworth, author of  "A Beginner's Guide to Starting Over" (3 p.m.); and Bernadette Rossetti-Shustak, author of "I Love You Through and Through" (5 p.m.).

The Cat in the Hat is expected to make a special appearance.

The new 14,000-square-foot store is located at 55-59 South Moger Ave. in space previously occupied by a Walgreens and a Rite Aid.

It will have books, gifts, toys, games and a café.
