MAHOPAC, N.Y. —An 18-year-old Mahopac man has been arrested and charged with multiple DWI-related felonies after crashing his car into a tree early Friday morning (Aug. 8) sending three occupants to the hospital with serious injuries.
The Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department said it was called to scene at 254 Wixon Pond Road in Mahopac at around 12:30 a.m. along with the Carmel Volunteer Ambulance Corp and the Carmel Police Department and discovered the vehicle that that had collided with a tree.
Carmel PD confirmed that the 18-year-old driver was charged with various felonies but said the investigation is ongoing and they would release more details as they become available, including the name of the driver. The condition of the victims is unknown at this time.
