KATONAH, N.Y. - Forget shadows!

Muscoot Farm’s famous feathered forecaster, Cluxatawney Henrietta, is ready to crack the case of winter’s fate this Groundhog Day!

Folks are invited to gather on Monday, Feb. 2, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., to see whether Henrietta lays an egg, signaling the possible arrival of an early spring.

Now in its eighth year, its Groundhog Day celebration puts a playful twist on a classic tradition.

Visitors can enjoy kid-friendly activities, tasty treats and plenty of farmyard fun while cheering on one of the county park’s most beloved residents as she delivers her much-anticipated prediction.

“It’s always a joy to see visitors of all ages come together to support her and celebrate the occasion,” said Muscoot Farm Director Jonathon Benjamin.

The annual event “celebrates community, curiosity, and the changing seasons,” Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said.

County parks offer “engaging, high-quality programming throughout the year, according to Commissioner Kathy O’Connor.
