Putnam Economic Development Corp. to host symposium in Mahopac

Breakfast to feature speakers, panels and more

MAHOPAC, N.Y. — The Putnam Economic Development Corporation will host its fourth annual breakfast symposium Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. at the Putnam County Golf Course ballroom, 187 Hill St.

The event will feature a keynote address by Ryan Silva, executive director of the New York State Economic Development Council. Silva has led the organization since 2017 and has been involved in several statewide initiatives, including the Green Chips Act, the federal CHIPS and Science Act, and the Fast NY (Shovel Ready) Program. He has been recognized on the Albany Power 100 list and named an economic trailblazer by City & State magazine.

A panel discussion will follow with speakers including Adam Bosch, president and CEO of Hudson Valley Pattern for Progress; Johnnieanne Hansen, CEO of the Council of Industry of Southeastern New York; and Chelsea Lemon, director of government affairs for the Business Council of New York State.

“The PCEDC is delighted to have such outstanding speakers for our fourth annual symposium,” said Kathleen Abels, president of the corporation. “Our goal is to provide meaningful networking and insights into economic trends and opportunities in Putnam and in the state of New York.”
