Richard F. Paul, a long-time resident of Carmel, Yorktown and Lake Mohegan, currently residing in Yorktown Heights, passed away on March 1, 2026, at the age of 67.
Mr. Paul was born in 1958, in New Rochelle, NY, to Richard G. and Grace Paul. He graduated from Yorktown High School in 1977; then went on to earn a PhD in Plumbing, Heating and Drainage. Mr. Paul worked as a Master Plumber and was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union, Local 21, in Peekskill, NY.
In 1982, he married Karen Broderick at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church in Brewster, NY.
Richard was a former member of the Elks Club and a member of the Lake Mohegan Park Association. He will be remembered for his love of the Yankees, Key West, Colony Pizza and a good game of Molkey at the Lake, where he won the oft-coveted Molkey Trophy after besting P.J.
Richard is survived by his loving partner Deborah Scales, his first wife Karen Broderick Paul (Ralph), son Richard J. Paul (Christina), daughter Kerri Shao (John), step-children Scott Weiser (David), Colleen Duball (Matthew), Dana Miller (Greg), and James Barber (Melissa), and 11 adoring grandchildren: Makenzie, Laurel, Brandon, Madison, Paige, Eve, Sasha Rose, Theodore, Ronan, Charlotte and Natalia.
