YORKTOWN, N.Y. —The Yorktown Lions are collecting turkeys and fixings through November to support local food pantries and help families in the community celebrate Thanksgiving.
Donations of whole turkeys and hams are being accepted this fall. The Lions are also collecting traditional Thanksgiving fixings, including stuffing, canned vegetables, rice, beans and canned gravy.
Monetary donations are accepted through November and will be used to purchase turkeys or hams for local food pantries. Once pantries reach their maximum turkey capacity, any remaining funds will be used to buy additional food needed for Thanksgiving and beyond. Visit yorktownlionsclub.com/turkey-donations to make an online donation and find out how you can help.
