The Yorktown Town Board has scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, July 7 on a proposed local law that would impose a six-month moratorium on approvals for new cell towers in the town.

The hearing follows a lengthy and contentious debate over Homeland Towers’ proposal to build a cell tower on Granite Springs Road, which was ultimately denied by the board.
