Yorktown Grange to host annual maple syrup breakfast

Posted

Maple season is pouring into Yorktown.

The Yorktown Grange will host its annual Maple Syrup Weekend Pancake Breakfast later this month, serving up pancakes, local syrup and family-friendly fun.

The tradition runs for two weekends — Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, as well as Saturday, March 28, and Sunday, March 29. Saturday seatings are at 9, 10 and 11 a.m., and Sunday seatings are at 10 and 11 a.m.

Pancakes will be served with locally produced syrup from White Oak Farm, the southernmost maple farm in New York state. Guests can also enjoy tractor-drawn hayrides, visits with farm animals and children’s craft activities.

“Our Maple Syrup Weekend is a highlight of the year,” Treasurer John Bell said in an announcement for this year’s event. “It’s a chance for the community to gather, enjoy a meal made with local ingredients, and experience the agricultural charm of the Grange through hayrides and animal visits.”

Proceeds support the Grange’s community programming and efforts to preserve local agricultural history.

Tickets are available through the Yorktown Grange website or directly on Eventgroove.
