YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. — On Sunday, May 4, Yorktown Girl Scout Troops 2812 and 1378 were honored during the Court of Awards ceremony, where they proudly received their Bronze Awards — the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve — and took a significant step forward, bridging from Juniors to Cadettes, the exciting next level for girls in grades six through eight.
Pastor Stubbs of Yorktown United Methodist Church and Town Supervisor Ed Lachterman both offered remarks, celebrating the girls for their positive impact on the community and the hard work and dedication that earned them this honor.
Superintendent of Yorktown Central School District Ron Hattar also spoke to the troops, emphasizing the many benefits and lifelong values that Girl Scouts gain through their experiences.
