YORKTOWN, N.Y. —It’s New York State Maple Weekend!

Yorktown is tapping into sweet maple weekend fun, with syrup-filled events that are sure to make taste buds flip for joy. The celebration kicked off March 22–23 and continues March 29–30, highlighting the local maple syrup industry. The festivities began with the annual pancake breakfast at Yorktown Grange Hall, where community members, town officials, and visitors from surrounding areas gathered to enjoy delicious treats. The event also featured animals, hayrides, and coloring opportunities for children, offering something for everyone.

The celebration continued in the afternoon at White Oak Farm—the southernmost commercial maple syrup producer in New York—which hosted an open house and demonstration of maple syrup production. In 2024, New York produced 846,000 gallons of maple syrup, making the state the second-largest producer in the U.S. behind Vermont, according to the state Department of Agriculture.

If you missed it (and even if you didn't), you have another chance to treat your taste buds as the Pancake Breakfast returns on March 29–30.

Visitors can learn about the process and purchase a variety of maple syrup products directly from the farm.
