Joseph A. Visconti, known affectionately as Joe, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026, in Yorktown, New York, at the age of 74, surrounded by the people he loved most. Born on January 31, 1952, in Yonkers, New York, to Ralph and Adeline Visconti (predeceased), Joe lived a life marked by devotion to family, steadfast hard work, and an extraordinary generosity of spirit that touched everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Joe was raised in Yonkers and attended Roosevelt High School, where he began building the foundation for the life he would go on to lead. He started his career in the garment industry alongside his father Ralph, and after many successful years, transitioned to a career as a Real Estate Broker until his recent retirement.

Throughout his life, Joe was deeply committed to his community. He served with distinction as President of the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce for six years, sat on the Foundation Board of Hudson Valley Hospital, the Development Board of Tompkins Bank, and several other boards. His vision, leadership, and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of many, and those who knew him say he taught and guided them along the way.

Family was the most important part of Joe’s life, giving his daughters Linda and Irene so much love, support and encouragement. Joe treasured his granddaughters Emma and Sophie, they filled his heart with pride and joy. Later in life Joe found more room in his heart to love and support his stepdaughters and their families.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Roxanne Visconti, who shared in his life with love and companionship. He is also survived by his daughters, Linda Brady, her husband Jesse and their children Emma and Sophie; Irene Jackston, her husband Greg; stepchildren Lauren, her husband Deon and their son Judah, Nicole and her children AJ, Arianna and Chaya, Rebecca and her husband Geri. He is also survived by his sister Linda Spirelli, her husband Pat, his nephews Joey, Patty, their wives and children. His family was the center of his world, and he found great joy in their milestones, their gatherings, and the simple moments they shared together.

Joe was a larger-than-life presence in every room he entered. He carried himself with strength, warmth, and a genuine curiosity about life and the people in it. His easy conversation, thoughtful nature, and steady reassurance made him a source of comfort in times of need. He was selfless, interesting, and deeply kind — a man who led with purpose, treated others with dignity, and never hesitated to offer support, counsel, or encouragement to those who needed it. He took great joy in sharing his experiences and knowledge with others, and his faith gave him strength and comfort throughout his life.

Though his passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who loved him, Joe's spirit lives on in the memories he created, the lives he shaped, and the love he gave so freely. His family and friends will continue to cherish the lessons he shared, the laughter he inspired, and the enduring kindness that defined him.

May Joseph A. Visconti rest in peace, remembered with love, gratitude, and deep admiration. His life was a testament to devotion, resilience, and compassion, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
