Virginia "Vee" Cioppa, a cherished matriarch and beacon of love, passed away peacefully on March 15, 2026, in Yorktown Heights, NY. Born on October 28, 1935, in Yonkers, NY, Vee's life was a testament to the strength and warmth of her spirit. Her departure from this earth was as she lived—surrounded by the family she adored, leaving us at the age of 90 after a life rich with laughter, generosity, and faith.

Vee was the beloved wife of the late Don Cioppa, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and unwavering companionship. She was a devoted mother to her children, Donna Stewart and her husband Billy, Frank Cioppa and his wife Linda, and Mary Cioppa. Her legacy extends through her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Axente, Stefanie Shaggura and her husband William, Nicole Taylor and her husband Brett, Lindsay Orrok, and Frank Cioppa and his wife Nicole. Vee's joy was multiplied with the birth of each of her great-grandchildren, Coleton Taylor, Carson Taylor, Teagan Orrok, Tanner Orrok, William Shaggura, Victoria Shaggura, and Lucia Cioppa.

After completing her high school education, Vee dedicated her life to the sacred role of a homemaker. She created a home that was a haven of hospitality and a sanctuary of love. Vee was the embodiment of Proverbs 31—a woman of noble character, strength, and dignity, who laughed without fear of the future. Her hands were rarely still as she expressed her creativity through crocheting, creating beautiful keepsakes for her family and friends.

Vee's interests also included shopping, where she found joy in selecting gifts that would bring smiles to her loved ones, and she cherished every moment spent with her family, recognizing these as the true treasures of life. Those who knew Vee will remember her for her loving nature, her quick wit that brought laughter to any room, and her generous heart that was always ready to give.

Her Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and providing comfort and hope to those around her. Vee lived the teachings of Christ, loving her neighbors and serving her community with humility and grace. As we say farewell to Virginia "Vee" Cioppa, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a journey completed with faith as her compass. We find solace in the knowledge that she is now resting in the loving arms of our Savior, reunited with her beloved Don and other family members who have gone before her.
