YORKTOWN, N.Y. - A Somers man is facing a misdemeanor larceny charge after allegedly stealing items from a grocery store in Yorktown.
According to the Yorktown Police Department, authorities received a report on Aug. 26 that an employee at Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace on Downing Drive had been stealing from the establishment.
Following an investigation, it was determined that Ralph Piccolo, 66, of Somers, had stolen $225 worth of items from the store.
Piccolo was taken into custody and charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor, and was released on his own recognizance.
He is due to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
