Rose Marie Maragni, of Brewster, New York, passed away peacefully at Calvary Hospital on April 27, 2025.
She was born on October 29, 1928, at Manhattan Woman’s Hospital to Viola and Christopher Bartolotta.
She married Galileo Maragni on September 24, 1949.
Rose was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She cared for her family and friends with all her heart. Kind, caring, compassionate, patient and well known for her beautiful smile and sense of humor, she lived to make life easier for others. She loved to cook, travel and spend time at the Senior Center, but mostly she enjoyed her time at Transworld Airlines.
Rose was senior secretary to the Chief of pilots at TWA for 33 years. Before retiring she became an analyst for the engineering department there. During her time there she received an award for 25 years of perfect attendance, which speaks to the dedication and commitment she had in everything she did. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends. After retiring she enjoyed many years of TWA get-togethers and Christmas parties. She loved her TWA family.
She was predeceased by her husband, of 66 years, Galileo.
She is survived by her daughters Anne (Nina) Marcel (John), of Briarcliff Manor, Gilda Allutto (Paul) of Garden City, grandchildren Dr. John Marcel (Tara) of Charlotte, North Carolina, Daniel Marcel (Caitlin) of New Canaan, Connecticut, Anthony Allutto (Lisa) of Oradell, New Jersey and Brian Allutto of Garden City as well as great-grandchildren Elise, Margot, Charles, James and Liam, her sister Mary Ann Colonna and her brother Christopher Bartolotta (MaryAnn) and many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
