Izzy Cashion, a resident of Mahopac, was diagnosed in August with an inoperable brainstem tumor called DIPG, or diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma, a rare and aggressive cancer that affects children.
Inspired by Izzy and her family’s story, the Yorktown Lions Club is hosting a pancake breakfast to give back to the community and donate a portion of proceeds to DIPG research through ChadTough.
Families are invited to bring their favorite stuffed animals to enjoy pancakes, children’s activities, raffles and other refreshments. The event is sponsored by Bobo’s Café.
The breakfast will be held Jan. 24, 2026, with a snow date of Feb. 21, at Grace Lutheran Church, 3830 Gomer Street, Yorktown. Two sessions will be offered, at 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults 13 and older, $10 for children ages 3–12, and free for children 2 and younger. Space is limited.
Donations will benefit both the Yorktown Lions Club and ChadTough for DIPG research.
