Marie Scalza of Yorktown Heights, a former resident of Queens, NY, passed away on February 24, 2026, at the age of 89.
Ms. Scalza was born in 1936, in Brooklyn, NY, to Richard and Margaret Scalza. She went on to marry Daniel Kilgallon in 1962, also in Brooklyn. Until her retirement in 2002, she worked as a sales associate at JFK Airport in Queens.
Ms. Scalza was a member of the Yorktown Senior Center and will be remembered for her fondness for sweets and the love she had for her family.
She is survived by her daughters: Donna Kilgallon (Paul), and Carol Miller (Bob); her grandchildren: Meghan Marzulla (Mike), Kerrianne Miller, Kaitlin Miller and Robert Miller; and her great-grandchild Wyatt Marzulla.
