Lillie “Lillian” Smith, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, was born on Jan. 2, 1935, in Cuthbert, Georgia. She peacefully departed this life on Sept. 24, 2026, in Yorktown Heights, New York, at the age of 91, following an ongoing illness.
Lillian was a woman whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She was known for always having a kind word to share, a big hug to give, and a warm smile that could brighten any room. She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will forever be remembered for the love, compassion, and joy she brought into their lives.
Lillian was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Ralph Miles and John Smith, Sr., and her daughter, Ella Mae Miles.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Mattie Miles of Revere, MA; Arthur Miles (Penny) of Revere, MA; Johnny Miles (Sonya) of Port Orchard, WA; and John Smith, Jr. of Yorktown Heights, NY. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and a host of loving family members and friends who will continue to honor and cherish her memory.
Though Lillian’s presence will be deeply missed, her love and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
