Laszlo Mayer, a long-time resident of Yorktown Heights, passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 78.
Mr. Mayer was born in Mohacs, Hungary in 1947, to Joseph and Maria Mayer. He later served in the U.S. Navy from 1966 – 1972, attaining the rank of AMH2. Before his retirement, he worked as an aircraft mechanic for U.S. Airways and Eastern Airlines.
In 1978, he married Elizabeth Beyersdorf in Mamaroneck, NY. In addition to his wife Elizabeth, he is survived by his daughter Christina Falcetti.
