Joseph Elluzzi

Joseph Elluzzi passed away peacefully in the early hours of Wednesday December 4, 2024 surrounded by loving family at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel NY at the age of 90. He was born in Mount Kisco NY on November 24, 1934 to the late Gaetano and Rosaria Elluzzi. Joseph was predeceased by 5 siblings- sisters Anne, Mary, and Virginia, brother Samuel, and twin brother Anthony.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Jeanne (Bueti) of Patterson NY, 2 sons- Guy and wife Patricia of North Salem, Nikolas of Pleasantville, and 3 grandchildren- Joseph, Anthony, and Jenna. He is also survived by Sister-in-Law Lucia Elluzzi, nieces Joanne and Sandra Elluzzi, Brother-In-Law Michael Bueti and nieces Krista (Jorge) Leiriao, and Amanda (Patrick) Farrell.

Joseph was a lifelong resident of Westchester and Putnam. He currently lived in Patterson NY, and previously resided in Pleasantville and Chappaqua as an adult. During his formative years he lived in Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, Katonah, and Bedford Village. Joseph graduated from John Jay High School in Katonah in 1952, and attended Westchester Community College.

During his working career, he worked for the NY Telephone company (later NYNEX) for 34 years occupying various positions, and retiring as a Real Estate Procurement Manager in 1991. Prior to his time at NY Telephone, he worked in various roles, including Luke Conte's grocery store and the A&P as a Grocer, and later at Marinelli's as a Television Technician. After Retirement from NY Telephone, Joe enjoyed a successful second career as a Landlord and Real Estate investor.

Joseph was a devout Roman Catholic, and was a parishioner at St. John the Evangelist in Pawling. He received all of his Sacraments at St. Francis of Assisi in Mount Kisco NY. Joseph was a 63-year member of Sisqua Council #1852 Knights of Columbus in Mount Kisco NY.

In his spare time, Joe loved to read and was largely self-educated in numerous topics, including Archaeology, True Crime, Mysteries and Science. He was also highly skilled in a variety of industrial arts including Electronics, Mechanics, Carpentry, Woodworking, Masonry, Painting, Wallpapering, Gardening, and Landscaping, He was a modern-day "Renaissance Man" with wide-ranging interests and expertise in many areas.

Joe loved to travel, taking numerous trips to various destinations in Europe and North America. He enjoyed good food, wine, and cigars. Other interests included Politics, Football, Tennis, Hiking and Automobiles.

Joe will long be remembered as a loving and devoted Husband, Father, and Grandfather by his family, as well as for his dry sense of humor and unique character.
