Four-way stop signs installed at busy Yorktown intersection

YORKTOWN, N.Y.—Following approval from the Town Board in April due to past safety concerns, two new four-way stop signs have been installed by the Yorktown Highway Department.

The new stop signs are located at Quinlan Street and London Road—an intersection previously known for accidents—and at Hanover Street and Underhill Avenue.

Town officials are reminding drivers to take the time to stop and remain mindful at these intersections.

“Drivers arriving at a 4-way stop intersection at the same time—the car on your right as the right of way,” Yorktown Police said in a Facebook post about the installation.
