With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of David Anaya, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, who left us far too soon on September 9, 2026, at the age of 45. Born in September, 1980, in Brooklyn, NY, David was the beloved son of Debra Roth Anaya.
David was a man whose life was defined by his love for his family and his generous spirit. He was a devoted husband to Vanessa, whom he married on July 13, 2013. Together, they built a warm and loving home. His five children, Kayla, Rebecca, Lucas, Gabriella and Victoria were the light of his life. His granddaughter, Ellianna, brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment spent with her.
David was a loving father whose greatest joy was being with his family. Known for his fun-loving and outgoing nature, David had an extraordinary ability to connect with people. He could talk to anyone and had a talent for making others feel at ease, often bringing laughter and energy wherever he went. His larger-than-life presence, infectious humor, and generous heart left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
In his professional life, David worked as a tow truck driver, a role in which he demonstrated unwavering dedication and diligence. Beyond his career, he was known for his impressive pizza-making skills, a testament to his passion for bringing people together over good food and shared moments.
David was happiest when surrounded by his loved ones—be it friends or family. His love for his children and granddaughter was unmatched, and he embraced every opportunity to spend time with them. He was loud, funny, and at times stubborn, but these were the qualities that endeared him to those who knew him.
David leaves behind his devoted wife, Vanessa; his children, Kayla, Rebecca, Lucas, Gabriella, and Victoria; his cherished granddaughter, Ellianna; his loving mother, Debra; and his siblings, Anthony (Kristine), Christina (Mike), and Joseph, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews and many extended family and friends. His legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 4:00-8:00pm at Clark & Giordano Funeral Home, located at 2104 Saw Mill River Road, Yorktown Heights, NY 10598. The Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday, September 16th at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Church, 95 Plum Brook Rd, Somers, NY 10589.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in David’s memory to the American Heart Association, an organization close to their hearts. Please click on the link below for more information.
David will be profoundly missed, but his spirit and love will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. May he rest in peace.
