After two decades of volunteer service on Yorktown boards, Anthony Tripodi has resigned from the Zoning Board of Appeals, closing out a long tenure of local public service.
Tripodi, an attorney and longtime community volunteer, previously served on the Planning Board and the school board. The Town Board recognized his contributions at the start of the June 9 meeting.
Town Supervisor Ed Lachterman thanked Tripodi for his years of service.
“It’s very bittersweet,” Lachterman said. “I thank you immensely.”
Tripodi said his volunteer work was meaningful.
“I enjoyed my public service,” he said. “It’s definitely worthwhile.”
