Andrew R. Cavaliere, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and proud patriot, passed away on April 8, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and family.
Born in the Bronx, NY in 1942, to his parents Andrew and Mary; he is survived by his older brother, Thomas Cavaliere.
On January 15, 1966, Andrew married the love of his life, Carmella Somma. For sixty (60) years, he cherished his “beautiful bride” building a life rooted in deep love and devotion.
A man who lived by the motto “Family First”, Andrew is survived by his wife, Carmella, his children Andrew, Alissa (Wilberto) and Matthew (Deborah), and his beloved grandchildren, Nicolas, Marianna, Sophia and Ava.
He was highly respected by his family and peers alike, known for his strength of character, wit and unwavering values. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and creating lasting memories.
A U.S. Marine Corps reserve veteran (1962–1967), Andrew worked at Philip Morris for three decades leading the IT Dept before retiring at age 54 to pursue new interests.
He earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Pace University at night while working full-time during the day in order to provide for his family.
He was an avid reader, loved the game of golf, enjoyed Neapolitan and operatic music, travel, playing cards and sharing homemade traditional Italian dishes from his childhood.
He especially treasured the months he spent every year in Naples, Florida where he and Carmella made long lasting friendships with their neighbors.
Andrew will leave an indelible and unforgettable mark on all those who knew and loved him.
