Andrew Magnotta, a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to many, passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 51 in Mahopac, NY, after a courageous battle with colon rectal cancer. Born on February 13, 1975 in White Plains, NY, Andrew grew up with contagious spirit that would light up any room he entered.
A graduate of Lakeland High School, Andrew's early life was characterized by his friendly nature and his passion for sports. His love for the game translated into a lifelong appreciation for sports wear, which he often shared with others.
Music was among Andrew's greatest joys. He loved animals especially helping cats. Andrew's sense of humor was unmatched, and his love for jokes was a testament to his belief in the power of laughter. He was often the source of joy and amusement in his family, and his quick wit and friendly banter will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Shopping for others was another way Andrew expressed his generosity. He took great pleasure in finding the perfect gifts for his loved ones, a clear reflection of his thoughtful nature to brighten someone's day.
Andrew is survived by his loving mother, Ann Magnotta; his devoted sister, Veronica Magnotta; and his adoring nieces, Johanna and Cynthia Schuster. Each of them will carry forward the memory of his spirited personality and warmth.
Those who had the privilege of knowing Andrew will remember him as: thoughtful, spirited, and friendly. His legacy is one of kindness, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to those he held dear.
As we bid farewell to Andrew Magnotta, we celebrate a life. His journey on this earth may have ended, but the joyful moments he brought into our lives will continue to resonate for years to come.
