YORKTOWN, N.Y.— Yorktown was hopping with Easter spirit on Saturday, April 5, as egg-cited families braved the gloomy skies for a day full of hunts, games and community cheer.

At Downing Park, the Yorktown Lions Club and the Parks and Recreation Department hosted their annual Easter egg hunt, with sections for different age groups and opportunities for prizes and photo ops with the Easter Bunny.

The Denet and Grieve families also held their annual Easter egg hunt at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The event featured thousands of eggs for little ones to find, along with games, crafts and live entertainment. Donations can still be made online through May 5 at fundraising.stjude.org.
