Yorktown resident accused of shoplifting from Lowe’s

The man allegedly stole $105.38 in merchandise, faces petit larceny charge

YORKTOWN, N.Y. – A 65-year-old Yorktown man was arrested after he allegedly stole more than $100 worth of merchandise from Lowe’s, Yorktown Police said. 

Yorktown police responded to the store last mpnyh. after receiving a report of a larceny. Officers met with the store’s asset management manager, who said the suspect had been detained for shoplifting. 

An investigation determined that Redouane Tazi—who, according to Patch, previously stole suitcases from Macy’s in 2022—allegedly took merchandise valued at $105.38 and passed all points of purchase before exiting the store. He was arrested at the scene and taken to police headquarters for processing. 

Tazi was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. He was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court on April 8 at 6 p.m.
