YORKTOWN, N.Y. —A 40-year-old Yorktown man has been arrested on charges of second-degree burglary, a class C felony and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony, following an incident Monday.
Yorktown Police said in a release on Tuesday that officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress around 1 p.m. on Monday, May 12 at a residence on Cornwall Circle. Upon arriving at the scene, an investigation found that Shaun Noone unlawfully entered the home through the front door. While inside, he allegedly struck a resident with a closed fist. The police report did not indicate any assault charge for the action, but it did also allege that Noone was in possession of a controlled substance.
At the scene, Noone was arrested and then transported to the Yorktown Police Headquarters for processing. Afterward, he was arraigned and remanded to the Westchester County Jail. He's due to appear in the Yorktown Justice Court on Thursday, May 22.
