Pound Ridge celebrates canine friends at Wooffstock

POUND RIDGE, N.Y. - It was a fall afternoon of tail-wagging fun at Pound Ridge’s Wooffstock 2025.

Held at the Pound Ridge Community Church on Sunday, Sept. 28, the event featured blessings of furry and feathered friends alike, doggo and kitty adoptions, face painting, tie-dye shirt making, a silent auction, floral creations, a raffle, and other fundraising efforts aimed at supporting animal shelters and causes.

Participating shelters included Adopt-A-Dog, Hazel’s House Rescue, New York Pet Rescue, PawSafe, ROAR, and SPCA Westchester.

Live music was provided by the appropriately named band Charlie Sub & SoundDogs.

Of course, there were treats for the four-legged participants' humans, too.

Walter’s Hot Dogs, a Westchester institute that has been serving hot dogs in Mamaroneck since 1919, was there with one of its food trucks.

One of the highlights was the “Blessing of the Animals,” which was joyfully conducted by the church’s new pastor, Rev. Kun Sam “e-Dayfly” Cho.
