Trapped driver rescued after rollover crash in Yorktown Heights
A two-vehicle crash on Springhurst Street left one person trapped inside an overturned vehicle July 26, prompting a rescue by the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.

A two-vehicle crash on Springhurst Street left one person trapped inside an overturned vehicle Sunday, prompting a rescue by the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department.
Firefighters and EMS were dispatched to the 2900 block of Springhurst Street, where they found one of the vehicles on its side with a person trapped inside.
Crews stabilized the overturned vehicle before using hydraulic rescue tools to free the occupant. The patient was then taken by the Yorktown Volunteer Ambulance Corps to an area trauma center.
Officials have not released the person's condition or said what caused the crash.
