Learn Social Dancing

On Friday, Aug. 7, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. learn to dance the swing step, fox trot, and rumba with instructor Lloyd “Silqui” Davis.  Partners are not required. Great for teens and adults!

Indian Classical Music Demonstration

To be held on Saturday, Aug. 8. This lecture and demonstration from 2 to 4 p.m. will offer insight into the distinguishing features of Indian classical music and the musician’s experiences will be conducted by renowned Sitar maestro Pandit Sugato Nag, followed by at student performance with vocals, violin, and Mridangam at 4:30 p.m. From 6 to 8 p.m. there will be a concert with PT Sugato Nag on Sitar, Amit Kavthekar on Tabla, and Kunal Gunjal on Santoor.

Exhibition Openings

On Sunday, Aug. 9, at 3 p.m. the new exhibitions of contemporary artworks by Tomoko Abe and Matthew Weber will open. Free with museum admission.

Cole Quest and The City Pickers 

Performing on Thursday, Aug. 6 Rooted in tradition yet driven by a restless New York energy, Cole Quest and The City Pickers carry American folk music forward with wit, warmth and originality. Led by Dobro player, songwriter and vocalist Cole Quest - grandson of folk Icon Woody Guthrie - the band has carved out a singular place in today's roots music landscape. blending the storytelling spirit of folk with the drive and Precision of bluegrass music. 

This is a family-friendly event, kids are free! Bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and feel free to BYOB. Gates open at 5 p.m., showtime at 6 p.m. $30 suggested donation.

Appearing on Saturday, Aug. 15. Daryl Mosley is one of Bluegrass music's most respected modern storytellers, known for turning everyday life into sings that feel both timeless and deeply personal. Gates open at 5 p.m., showtime at 6 p.m. $30 suggested donation.

Eli Lev at Lasdon Public Gardens

Singer-songwriter and global citizen Eli Lev will bring his blend of indie folk and Americana to an intimate outdoor performance on the back patio of Lasdon Public Gardens main house at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 8. Known for his warm, earthy performances that invite reflection and collective singing, Eli creates live experiences that feel both intimate and communal. Admission is free. Please bring a blanket or chair to enjoy the music.
