Town Green—the community events roundup in the print edition of Yorktown News—is always on the lookout for community events, and we often find them by accident. If you have a fundraiser, drive for donations, non-profit class or performance, meet-up, or anything you think your neighbors would like to know about, submit it to us at yorktownnews@halstonmedia.com with “Town Green” in the subject line. We can’t guarantee that every submission will get in but we’ll do our best.

The Fr. John LaFarge Council 4012 of the Knights of Columbus will host a Silver Rose rosary prayer service as part of an international pilgrimage honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. Patrick’s Church.
Eight Silver Roses are traveling across North America from Canada to Mexico as symbols of devotion, unity and respect for the sanctity of human life. One of the roses, en route to Yorktown Heights, reflects the Marian apparition to St. Juan Diego, in which roses filled his tilma and revealed the image of the Virgin Mary. The service will be held Friday, July 24, from 7 to 8 p.m. at St. Patrick’s main church, 137 Moseman Rd.
