San Gennaro, fall concerts, the nearby Grange Fair and more are on the local calendar this week.
The Carmel Recreation and Parks Department 2026 Fall Concert Series at Chamber Park kicks off on Saturday, Sept. 12 with Honey Valley, a Connecticut-based band performs a high-energy mix of country, pop and rock favorites.

Andrea and the Armenian Rugriders — Sept. 19. The four-piece rock/pop band performs energetic renditions of classic favorites.
The Crew — Sept. 26. The band features three lead singers performing seven decades of rock, soul and pop hits.
The shows pick up where the Carmel Recreation and Parks Department’s Sunset Concert Series left off, with acts such as Woodstock-era tribute band Yasgur’s Farm (shown above) getting the crowd up and dancing.

Putnam County Feast of San Gennaro — The Putnam County Feast of San Gennaro continues at Veterans Memorial Park, 201 Gipsy Trail Road, Carmel. Saturday will feature live music from FDR Drive Band, plus DJ Fonz. Admission is free.
Chabad of Putnam Rosh Hashanah services — Chabad of Putnam will hold morning services at 10 a.m. at VFW Memorial Hall, 32 Gleneida Ave. (Route 52), Carmel. Services are open to all, with no membership or affiliation required.

‘God Bless America’ concert — A special concert featuring opera stars Valerian Ruminski, bass, and Monika Krajewska, mezzo-soprano, with pianist Mark Cogley, will commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks and the 250th anniversary of American independence at 4:45 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church in Mahopac.
Yorktown Grange Fair — The Yorktown Grange Fair continues at the Yorktown Grange Fairgrounds, 99 Moseman Road, Yorktown Heights. This year’s “Goats, Games & Good Times!” celebration features Blue Ribbon contests, livestock, live music, rides, vendors, food, craft beer and a mechanical bull ride. Admission is $15 per carload.
Historic Cemetery Cleanup — The Carmel Historical Society will hold a cleanup at Old Baptist Cemetery in Carmel from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event is free and open to all ages. Participants should bring water, gloves and a snack. Call or text 845-260-4667 to register.
Putnam County Feast of San Gennaro — The festival concludes at Veterans Memorial Park in Carmel with Andrea and the Armenian Rug Riders performing at 3 p.m., along with DJ Fonz. Admission is free.
Chabad of Putnam Rosh Hashanah services — Morning services begin at 10 a.m. at VFW Memorial Hall in Carmel, with a children’s program from 10:30 a.m. to noon. A Tashlich and Shofar service will be held from 1 to 1:15 p.m. on the shore of Lake Gleneida, across from the VFW. Participants should bring their own bread crumbs.
Yorktown Grange Fair — The 102nd Yorktown Grange Fair concludes at the Yorktown Grange Fairgrounds with livestock, contests, live music, rides, vendors, food, craft beer and family attractions. Admission is $15 per carload.
Service at Historic Chapel — All are welcome to attend the annual nonsectarian service at the 166-year-old Union Valley Chapel, 743 Union Valley Road, Mahopac, at 11 a.m. Light refreshments and an opportunity to socialize will follow.
Carmel Farmers Market — The Carmel Farmers Market at Lake Mahopac will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Chamber Park, 953 South Lake Blvd., Mahopac, featuring fresh local finds, treats and community vendors.
Library card sign-up at farmers market — Mahopac Library will be at the farmers market at Chamber Park from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for Library Card Sign-Up Month. Visitors can sign up for a library card and learn about library programs and services. No registration is required.
Friday Car Show — Wicked Whips New York hosts a free community car show at 4:30 p.m. every Friday in the Ocean State Job Lot parking lot at Lake Plaza Shopping Center. All cars are welcome, and there is no entry fee. A weekly 50/50 raffle helps fund future events, with a portion donated to charity at the end of the year.
Friday Film Night for Adults — Mahopac Library’s monthly Friday Film Night for Adults returns at 6 p.m. with a screening of The Shape of Water.
Veterans benefits — A program on veterans benefits will be held at noon at Mahopac Library, covering health care, disability compensation, pension benefits, the application process and common pitfalls. The program is intended for those exploring eligibility as well as veterans with questions about benefits they already receive.
Back the Blue Prayer Walk — The seventh annual Back the Blue Prayer Walk will be held at Camarda Park, 226 Seminary Hill Road, Carmel. The event honors men and women in law enforcement, including those killed in the line of duty. Sign-in begins at 12:30 p.m., with the walk starting at 1:15 p.m. Free dessert will be available while supplies last.

Chabad of Putnam Yom Kippur — Yom Kippur begins with the fast at 6:37 p.m. and Kol Nidrei at 7 p.m. at VFW Memorial Hall, 32 Gleneida Ave., Carmel. Reservations are required.
