Theresa Russo (née DiSanti) entered into eternal rest on June 6, 2026. Theresa, affectionately known as "Chickie" by her family and close friends, was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1931, in New York City to Salvatore and Anna DiSanti.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Richard Russo.
Chickie enjoyed a long career as a customer service representative with New York Telephone and later Verizon.
She took great pleasure in cooking and baking for family and friends and was happiest when gathered around the kitchen with those she loved. An avid reader, she also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles. Chickie had a deep appreciation for history and was a proud and devoted patriot.
She is survived by her three daughters, Diane Russo and Jacqueline Russo, both of Charleston, South Carolina and Karen Russo; her two grandsons, Michael Tresca (Diana) of Brewster, New York, and Nicholas Russo; her two great-granddaughters, Lucy and Gabrielle Tresca, her sister Arlene Pettas, and many cherished nieces and nephews. Chickie will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, love of family, and the countless memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
