Yorktown police reported a criminal summons, an arrest for alleged theft and multiple traffic charges
Yorktown police reported that a 55-year-old Yorktown man was served with a criminal summons Sept. 16 in connection with an alleged Aug. 5 incident at the Triangle Shopping Center.
Police said the man allegedly struck another person with a closed fist in the parking lot. A criminal summons for second-degree harassment, a violation, was later obtained through Yorktown Justice Court.
The man was served with the summons at about 5:22 p.m. Sept. 16 and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court at 6 p.m. Sept. 24.
Yorktown police arrested a 37-year-old Peekskill man Sept. 16 after receiving a report of alleged theft from Uncle Giuseppe’s at 327 Downing Drive.
Police said the man, identified as Jamie Campis-Montenegro, was a current employee who allegedly stole $141.77 worth of items from the business.
Campis-Montenegro was taken into custody at about 9:26 p.m. and processed at the Yorktown Police Department. He was issued an appearance ticket and released on his own recognizance.
He is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court at 6 p.m. Oct. 6. He was charged with petit larceny, a Class A misdemeanor.
Yorktown police issued several traffic tickets to a 31-year-old Granite Springs man Sept. 20 after a traffic stop on Route 202.
Police said Officer Madison Esposito was on patrol at about 10:34 a.m. near Route 202 and Strang Boulevard when she stopped a vehicle after observing an allegedly insufficient tail lamp. A DMV check reportedly showed the vehicle’s registration was suspended in New York.
The driver was issued tickets for operating a vehicle with a suspended registration, an unclassified misdemeanor, as well as driving an unregistered and uninspected vehicle and having no or insufficient tail lamps, all traffic infractions.
He was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in Yorktown Justice Court at 6 p.m. Oct. 15.
