Stanley P. Vishinski II, 78, a longtime resident of Patterson, NY, Stanley passed away surrounded by his family and friends on April 9, 2026, at Maplewood of Danbury.
Born on January 23, 1948, in Port Chester, NY, Stan was the son of the late Stanley P. and Emma (Gazick) Vishinski Cehula. On September 2, 1967, he married the love of his life, Dianne Green, in Rye, NY. They shared over 50 years of marriage until her passing on January 2, 2020.
A fixture of the Patterson community since 1978, Stan was the owner and operator of Stan’s Auto Body for over 50 years. His lifelong passion for cars and collision repair famously began in his youth, after crashing his mother’s car and realizing he needed to learn how to fix it. This sparked a career that defined his professional life and a hobby that took him to the stock car races in Middletown. When he wasn't at the shop, he enjoyed hunting on his uncle’s property in upstate New York.
Stan was deeply committed to public service and his faith. He was a dedicated member of the Patterson Volunteer Fire Dept., serving as both an EMT and with the Fire Police. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus St. John’s Council #545, the Westchester/Putnam/Rockland Auto Body Association, and was a faithful parishioner of St. John’s ‘The Evangelist’ Church in Pawling.
He is survived by his two sons, Stanley P. Vishinski III and Kenneth A. Vishinski (Lori), both of Patterson; his four grandchildren, Stanley P. Vishinski IV, Andrew, Lucas, and Jacob who were his heart, pride and joy-his greatest blessing; and his two sisters, Barbara Minnitte of Rye Brook and Mary Ann Rinaldi of West Harrison; he is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Stan had truly felt that his brothers-in-law were indeed his brothers… Robert Rinaldi, Richard, Bobby and Teddy Green and Dominic Minnitte ‘Moses’. In addition to his loving wife Dianne, Stan was predeceased by his sister, Kathy Cehula and brothers-in-law, Robert Rinaldi, Richard Green and Dominic Minnitte.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Beecher Funeral Home, 1 Putnam Avenue, Brewster, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, April 17, at 11 a.m. at St. John’s ‘The Evangelist’ Church in Pawling, NY, with Rev. John F.X. Palatucci officiating.
