SOMERS, N.Y. - In the heart of Northern Westchester, the Somers Lions Club is giving the community a chance to make a real difference — and maybe drive away with a brand-new car while they’re at it.
The 2025 Somers Lions Charity Raffle is now in full swing, and this year’s grand prize is a showstopper! The winner will choose between $30,000 in cash, a 2025 Bucking Bronco Sport, or a 2025 Ford BM Maverick, generously provided by Park Ford of Mahopac. But behind the flash of chrome and horsepower lies something far more powerful, the spirit of compassion.
Every ticket sold goes directly toward lifting up our neighbors in need. Proceeds support a host of vital causes, including Friends of Karen, Alliance for Safe Kids (ASK), scholarships for graduating Somers High School students, and assistance for local families facing tough times, just to name a few. These are the people we pass in the grocery store, the students we cheer for at football games, the families we greet at local events, and now, through this raffle, we can give them hope.
“Our raffle is about more than prizes,” said a Somers Lions Club spokesperson. “It’s about providing a safety net for families when life throws them the unexpected. It’s about giving students the boost they need to reach for their dreams. It’s about showing that Somers stands together.”
A $100 donation gets you a ticket and a chance to win not only the grand prize, but also second ($2,500), third ($1,000), and fourth ($500) place prizes. Better yet, buying three tickets costs just $250, giving you more chances to win and more ways to help.
The winners will be drawn during Somers’ beloved Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 3, 2025. It’s a day meant to celebrate freedom and through this raffle, freedom from hardship and struggle becomes more than just a hope.
