LEWISBORO, N.Y. - A developing roadway depression prompted the closure of lanes on Interstate 684 Thursday afternoon as crews worked to repair a deteriorated drainage pipe in Lewisboro, according to the New York State Department of Transportation.
On Friday afternoon, Lewisboro Town Supervisor Tony Gonçalves announced on social media that the DOT had reopened all lanes.
The depression was discovered by a contractor performing drainage pipe repairs along the highway. In the interest of public safety, the affected lanes were immediately closed and emergency services were notified.
