Born on Nov. 24, 1933, in Fallentimber, Pennsylvania, Shirley was the daughter of the late Clair E. and Bernice A. (Tonkin) Shomo. She was raised with strong values of family, kindness, and hard work, qualities that remained at the heart of who she was throughout her life.

In 1955, Shirley married the love of her life, Renato Carrazzone. Together, they built a life centered on love, family, and devotion. A longtime resident of Yorktown Heights, New York, Shirley took great pride in being a devoted wife and mother, and her family remained the center of her world.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Renato, and her son, Jeff Carrazzone. She is survived by her children, Kevin Carrazzone and his wife, Kathy; Susan Casino and her husband, Christopher; David Carrazzone and his wife, Tara; and her daughter-in-law, Barbara Carrazzone. She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Nicky, Danny, Christopher, Michael, Olivia, Kelly, Colleen, Dennis and Alexander, each of whom brought her great joy.

She was also predeceased by her brothers, Dwayne, Donald, and Bud, and by her sister, Mildred Hamilton. Shirley is survived by her sisters, Jean L. Lucas of Irvona, Pennsylvania; Connie A. Kruise of Coalport, Pennsylvania; and Eleanor V. McClellan of Dillsburg, Pennsylvania.

Shirley enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, especially gardening and painting. She had a gentle spirit, a warm heart, and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for the love, care, and kindness she gave so freely to her family and friends.

Shirley's greatest legacy is the love she shared with those around her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
