Dear Editor,
As a long-time resident, I write to you today to tell you about someone special to this town, Sergio Esposito. This guy really cares about Yorktown. From advocating for our local businesses to solving problems for our neighbors, I truly appreciate all of Councilman Esposito’s efforts, especially on this day.
On this one particular day, I came across a three-car accident on Commerce Street in Yorktown, in front of Railroad Park. There was much confusion and chaos that immediately followed. Debris from the vehicles littered the street.
Suddenly, I spotted Sergio Esposito, and he quickly took control. He jumped out of his vehicle and he immediately rushed to all the people asking if they were OK. There was an elderly couple, and he advised them not to move and to stay in the vehicle. He notified the authorities and before you knew it the Yorktown police Department, Ambulance Corp and even a member from our Yorktown Firehouse appeared.
Once the scene was under control and the police were there, Sergio was gone just as quickly as he appeared. I am not sure what happened to the people in the accident, but I can say that because of Councilman Esposito’s best efforts, they were afforded the best possible chance.
Sergio definitely displayed his leadership abilities. This is why I will be supporting him in the upcoming election.
